Vacuum Tubing
304 Stainless Steel is strong and does not corrode like carbon steel.
304 Stainless tubing does not need to be painted like carbon steel to
protect it from corrosion. 304 Grade stainless steel vacuum tubing is also
known as A2 steel in Europe and the far east. Here are a few examples
of how stainless vacuum tubing can be used;

In the processing
industry, 304 stainless steel plays a big part in moving materials through
a plant in order to be processed. The materials are typically moved by dense
phase, pneumatic conveying, pressure or vacuum conveying methods. Our thin
wall stainless tubing can be used for any of these processes.
There are several methods of making 304 stainless tubing. One method of making
the stainless steel tubing is by extrusion. The extrusion
process is the best way to make 304 stainless steel tubing because the
tolerances of the process can be controlled to very fine precision.
Another method of making 304 stainless steel tubing is by rolling the
tubing on a series of dies to form a round part. This method of making 304
stainless steel tubing is also called cold forming. Once the 304 stainless
steel tubing is formed into a round shape it is then welded together. After the
304 stainless steel tubing is welded it is typically trimmed to remove any
burrs that may have occurred during the welding process. The tolerance of the
materials is not as good as the extrusion or seem less method. However, the
roll welded method keeps the cost affordable. There are two or three methods
used to weld the 304 stainless steel tubing together. One of the methods to
weld the stainless steel is butt welding. This method of welding the stainless
requires a high current and can be very capital extensive. Another method of
welding 304 stainless steel tubing together is electric arc wire welding. This
is more economical and is the preferred method of welding 304 stainless steel
tubing. Our stainless tubing is acceptable for any pneumatic conveying or
vacuum application that utilizes 304 stainless steel tubing. Our couplings and fittings are rated for ±15 PSI for use in vacuum or pressure applications.
