Samuel Pressure Vessel Group Receiver Tank Finishes and Linings
Samuel air receiver tanks are available with several exterior finishes and interior lining options. Availability may depend on tank size, diameter, operating conditions, and vessel configuration.
Standard Primer
The standard exterior finish is a universal water-based alkyd enamel primer.
Powder-Coated Exterior
Powder-coating options are available in the following standard colors:
- Gray — RAL 7011
- White
- Black
- Blue — RAL 5015

Exterior Epoxy Enamel
An exterior epoxy coating with a semi-gloss polyurethane finish is available in gray, white, black, and blue. Other custom colors may be available by quotation.
Interior Epoxy Lining
Where offered, vessels with capacities of 1,060 gallons or less may receive a gray powder-epoxy interior lining. Tanks without adequate access openings may receive approximately 85% interior coverage.
FDA-Compliant Interior Lining
An optional FDA lining is available for applications involving dry food at ambient temperatures and certain limited wet-food applications. The lining meets the requirements of FDA Regulation 175.300. Tanks requiring this lining must be ordered under a custom part number.
NSF Potable Water Lining
An optional potable-water lining approved to NSF/ANSI Standard 61 is also available. This option requires a custom part number.
Please note: Vessels less than 42 inches in diameter that require an interior NSF or FDA lining may have an extended manufacturing lead time.
Optional Air Receiver Tank Kits
Standard tank accessory kits generally include:
- One safety relief valve
- One pressure gauge
- One ball valve
